As Hypocrites

We tell people not to,
Do drugs or drink, but then,
They'll see us at the bar.

We tell kids to turn their heads in a bad part of the movie,
While we focus ours to the TV
We lie we lust but do not admit it!
We just go on our merry way.

We say we shouldn't judge,
But we do it anyway.
We don't understand all the pain people go through,
Or why they look a certain way.
While we should invite them in,
We throw them out!

So then we are as hypocrites,
Doing our own thing while we say another.
We are as hypocrites,
Saying judge not, but then judging one another.
We are as hypocrites when we fake God's spirit.

We are but hypocrites,
Cause the people,
Who need Jesus,
Are not all at church or at Bible study.
There at schools, they're the people,
Who wear the weird hair,
Or weird clothes to the people who look like you.
There the people at work, who give you a cup of coffee or,
That you go out to lunch with.

They're the people on the street, who live there,
Or just walking.
They're the people in prison, who robbed,
Stole, or killed someone, but they still need Jesus.

They are the people at the hospital,
At nursery homes or retirement homes who are hurting and sick,
And need God.
Some are so close to dying without God,
We don't even think about.

We need to, as hypocrites,
Turn around,
Get our life strait,

And then go out and tell people,
That Jesus Christ is Lord.
We will not argue or kill,
Or have wars over it.
To believe and have faith is not to be forced on someone,
But with the love of Jesus.

It's to be told in every fruit of the spirit.

As hypocrites,
We need to turn things around,
Because the time draws near,
And we must live holy lives and tell of Jesus Christ our Lord!
